During the second day of the Programme Visit to Australia, Deputy Secretary-General (DSG) Satvinder Singh met with Australia’s Department of Treasury and the Australian National University (ANU) Southeast Asia Institute to discuss the investment and economic opportunities across the region. Departing from Canberra to Sydney, he discussed key economic priorities of ASEAN with Hon. Anoulak Chanthivong MP, the Minister for Better Regulation and Fair Trading, Minister for Industry and Trade, Minister for Innovation, Science and Technology, Minister for Building and Minister for Corrections, Parliament of New South Wales,. He subsequently met the Business Council of Australia to reaffirm ASEAN’s commitment to fostering the region as a competitive investment hub.
