The 24th ASEAN Senior Officials Meeting on Transnational Crime (SOMTC) and Its Related Meetings, which included SOMTC Consultations with Australia, Canada, China, Japan, the European Union, India, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea, Russia, the United States and Plus Three Countries were held in Vientiane, Lao PDR on 26-28 June 2024. The Meetings were attended by SOMTC Leaders of all ASEAN Member States, Dialogue Partners and the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community. Timor-Leste attended as Observer. Recent and emerging trends in transnational crime in the region as well as potential cooperation to address these issues were discussed at the Meetings
