Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, H.E. Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz, today met with the Australian Ambassador to Counter Modern Slavery, People Smuggling and Human Trafficking, H.E. Jane Duke, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. Both sides took the opportunity to exchange views on ASEAN priorities in addressing transnational crime, including people smuggling, trafficking in persons (TIP) and irregular migration, as well as highlighted the significance of collaborative efforts to tackle these challenges.
