The 23rd ASLOM held on 10-11 October 2024 was chaired by Ms. Sarala K. Subramaniam, Director-General (International & Advisory), Ministry of Law Singapore. The 23rd ASLOM was preceded by the 11th ASLOM Working Group on the ASEAN Extradition Treaty, and the 13th ASLOM Working Group on Examining the Modalities for the Harmonisation of the Trade Laws of ASEAN Member States held on 7-9 October 2024 in Singapore. The 3rd ASLOM-Japan Consultation was also convened following the 23rd ASLOM. Co-Chaired by DG Sarala and Mr. Tsutsumi Yoshiyuki, Assistant Vice Minister of Justice Japan, the 3rd ASLOM-Japan Consultation deliberated on the progress of implementation of the ASEAN-Japan Work Plan on Law and Justice (Work Plan), initiatives under ASEAN and G7, and future activities for the implementation of the Work Plan.
