Earlier today, Deputy Secretary-General for ASEAN Political-Security Community Michael Tene received the Head of Office and Liaison to ASEAN of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), Erik van der Veen, at the ASEAN Secretariat. They discussed ways to enhance practical cooperation between ASEAN and UNODC in addressing challenges posed by transnational crime and illicit drugs, including issues covered under the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime and the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Drug Matters.
