JAKARTA, 2 March 2018 – The first ASEAN Socio-Culture Community (ASCC) monitoring and evaluation (M&E) workshop on the result framework indicators of the ASCC Blueprint 2025 was convened at the ASEAN Secretariat on 1 – 2 March.

At the workshop, ASEAN Member States discussed and exchanged views on the development of the ASCC result framework key performance indicators for the ASCC blueprint. Representatives of Senior Officials Meeting for the ASCC and the sectoral bodies provided guidance on how to develop an outcome-based monitoring system that compiles, synthesizes and aligns ASCC indicators with the characteristics and elements of the blueprint.

The performance indicators of the result framework will support ASEAN in keeping the work of different sectors on track and measurable. They will also enable ASEAN to achieve the five objectives of the ASCC blueprint in a specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-bound way.

Also present at the workshop were representatives from the political-security and economic pillars as well as colleagues from Connectivity Division.

This workshop was the first in a series to develop and finalize the performance indicators for ASCC.
