1. The 37th ASEAN Ministers on Energy Meeting (AMEM) was held on 04 September 2019 in Bangkok, Thailand. H.E. Sontirat Sontijirawong, Minister for Energy of Thailand, chaired the Meeting. H.E. Dang Hoang An, Vice Minister of Industry and Trade of Viet Nam was the Vice Chair. The Heads of the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) were invited to participate in the 37th AMEM.

- ABOUT ASEAN
The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the signing of the ASEAN Declaration (Bangkok Declaration) by the Founding Fathers of ASEAN: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. It comprises the ASEAN Community Vision 2025, the ASEAN Political-Security Community Blueprint 2025, the ASEAN Economic Community Blueprint 2025 and the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community Blueprint 2025
