- The Eighth ASEAN India Ministerial Meeting on Agriculture and Forestry was held virtually on 25 October 2024. The Meeting was co-chaired by Myanmar and India.
- The Meeting commended the significant progress made in the implementation of the Medium-Term Plan of Action for ASEAN-India Cooperation in Agriculture and Forestry (2021–2025). This plan aims to promote investment, develop human resources in the food, agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sub-sectors by providing opportunities for the youth of ASEAN, and enhance the resilience of natural systems while improving the adaptive capacities of human communities to cope with environmental hazards. The Meeting noted that various projects to support these initiatives have been implemented as part of a regional strategy focusing on sustainable and regenerative agriculture between ASEAN and India.
