- The 26th DGICM and Its Related Meetings were held in Phuket, Thailand from 8- 10 August 2023. The 26th DGICM was chaired by Police Lieutenant General Phakphumphiphat Sujjapan, Commissioner of Immigration Bureau, Royal Thai Police and attended by the ASEAN Heads of Immigration Departments, Heads of Consular
Affairs Divisions of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and representatives from the ASEAN Secretariat. The 26th DGICM and Its Related Meetings were conducted under the theme of “Building Security, Fostering Collaboration and Sustaining the Future”. - The DGICM is an annual meeting of Heads of Immigration Departments and Heads of Consular Affairs Divisions of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of ASEAN Member States to discuss, coordinate and enhance regional cooperation on immigration and consular matters. The DGICM chairmanship is rotated among the ASEAN Member States in alphabetical order.
