1. The Consultation was co-chaired by U Htay Hlaing, Director General of the Immigration Department of Myanmar and Ms. Peta Maree Dunn, First Assistant Secretary of the Australian Department of Home Affairs.
2. The Consultation noted the successful implementation of activities in the ASEAN-Australia Programme of Work 2018-2019 as agreed by the 14th DGICM + Australia Consultation. The Consultation also expressed appreciation for Australia’s continued commitment and agreed to pursue a number of practical activities in 2019-2020, demonstrating ASEAN and Australia’s shared interests in strengthening immigration capacity across the region.
