The 8th ASEAN-ROK Heads of Intellectual Property (IP) Offices Meeting was held in Seoul, Korea on 1 September 2025. The Meeting was co-hosted by Commissioner Wan Ki Kim of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) and Director Suon Vichea, Chair of the ASEAN Working Group on IP Cooperation (AWGIPC) and Director of the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) Cambodia. The 8th Heads Meeting preceded an ASEAN-ROK IP Symposium which had participation of more than 100 IP professionals from across ASEAN and the ROK.
WE, the Heads of the Korean Intellectual Property Office (KIPO) of the Republic of Korea and the Intellectual Property Offices of the Member States of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) collectively, reaffirm the importance of the strong partnership that has been built in the field of Intellectual Property (IP) since 2018. We express our shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation to meet the evolving needs of innovation and industries in the region.
