- The 35th ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Council Meeting was held on 05 March 2026 in Makati City, Philippines. The Meeting was chaired by His Excellency Rex Gatchalian, Secretary of Social Welfare and Development of the Philippines. It was attended by ASEAN Member States and the ASEAN Secretariat.
- We commended the strong leadership of Malaysia as the ASEAN Chair 2025 in advancing regional cooperation, facilitating dialogues and strengthening regional peace, stability and prosperity within an inclusive, sustainable, and future-oriented framework. Additionally, we also welcomed Timor-Leste to its first ASCC Council Meeting as the 11th Member of ASEAN.
