1. The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and New Zealand signed the ASEAN-New Zealand Air Services Agreement (ANZ-ASA) and its Protocol 1 on 28 October 2025, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in the margins of the ASEAN–New Zealand Commemorative Summit to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN–New Zealand Dialogue Relations.
2. The ANZ-ASA represents a milestone in ASEAN-New Zealand cooperation, providing a modern and forward-looking framework that enhances air connectivity, strengthens economic ties and promotes closer people-to-people linkages between ASEAN and New Zealand.
