Guided by the Strategic Plan on Culture and the Arts 2016-2025, our key priorities in the culture sector include: 

•  deepening ASEAN mindset and identity to increase appreciation for the histories, cultures, arts, traditions and values of the ASEAN region;
•  promoting ASEAN’s cultural diversity to foster intercultural understanding;
•  leveraging on culture for inclusive and sustainable development;
•  harnessing the use of culture for creativity, innovation and livelihood-creation; and
•  promoting regional cooperation to raise capabilities in cultural and heritage management;
•  promoting the role of culture for ASEAN to become a proactive member of the global community.
