ROO shall focus on monitoring and reviewing the implementation of ATIGA ROO to ensure its responsiveness to the dynamic changes in the regional and global production processes. This will facilitate trade and investment among Member States, promote a regional production network, encourage the development of MSMEs and narrow the development gaps. Following such guidance, the ROO priorities shall include, among others: 

• Simplify and strengthen the implementation of the ROO through review of ROO with a view towards more trade facilitative and business friendly ROO;

• Further simplification of the certification procedures of origin determination to facilitate global value chain participation; and

• Simplify the Operational Certification Procedures (OCP) and ensure its continuous enhancement through the process of General Review of ATIGA.
