JAKARTA, 9 February 2015 – Millions of Roman Catholics in Manila waited hours to hear their leader speak during a highly-anticipated visit to the region. The message of Pope Francis tops the latest edition of “ASEAN Today.”
Tina Panganiban-Perez of the Philippines’ GMA Network co-anchors the program from Manila, with Dalton Tanonaka of The Indonesia Channel at the ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta. They also report on Myanmar’s new stock exchange, Cambodia’s “Sweetheart Islands,” and Thailand’s snail facial treatment. Durudee Sirichanya of the ASEAN Secretariat presents the month’s regular “Feedback” segment.
