At the invitation of the Government of the People’s Republic of China, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will undertake a Working Visit to Beijing, the People’s Republic of China, on 15 -16 September 2026.

During the visit, Dr. Kao will attend a series of engagements, including meetings with senior government officials, participation in the commemorative event marking the fifth anniversary of the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP), and the 13th Beijing Xiangshan Forum. Dr. Kao will also engage with the ASEAN-China Centre and deliver a lecture at the China Foreign Affairs University.

Dr. Kao will subsequently travel to Nanning to participate in the 23rd China-ASEAN EXPO (CAEXPO) and participate in other related engagements. The visit underscores the importance of the ASEAN–China CSP and the commitment of both sides to further strengthen cooperation across a wide range of areas.
