The Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, received credentials from H.E. Mr. Murat Adali, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to ASEAN on 12 September 2011.

Mr. Adali expressed his honour and pleasure in being accredited as the Ambassador of Turkey to ASEAN. He underlined potential for cooperation and development between ASEAN and Turkey. Dr. Surin welcomed Mr. Adali and in the course of exchanging views and idea with the Ambassador expressed his confidence that the two sides could work together to promote cooperation for mutual benefits.
