The Honourable Anwar Ibrahim, ASEAN Chair in 2025 and Prime Minister of Malaysia, today delivered a Policy Speech at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat, highlighting Malaysia’s leadership and Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025.
Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, delivered opening remarks prior to the Policy Speech, commending The Honourable Anwar Ibrahim’s distinguished leadership and Malaysia’s pivotal contributions to ASEAN Community-building efforts. Secretary-General Dr. Kao emphasised the value of high-level policy addresses by ASEAN Leaders in shaping the regional discourse and in deepening engagement with the diplomatic corps, ASEAN entities, the business community as well as with the media, paving the way for expanding ASEAN narratives in the region and beyond.
