H.E. Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão, Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, today delivered a Policy Speech at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat, highlighting Timor-Leste’s full commitment and support to the work of ASEAN, particularly as ASEAN embarks on the implementation of the ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Vision.

Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, delivered opening remarks prior to the Policy Speech, commending H.E. Kay Rala Xanana Gusmão’s distinguished leadership, which has been pivotal in strengthening the region’s shared aspirations for peace, stability, and prosperity. Secretary-General Dr. Kao also emphasised the value of high-level visits by Leaders in shaping regional discourse and in deepening engagement with the diplomatic corps, Entities associated with ASEAN, academia, think tanks and the business community.
