Organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam, the Regional Consultation on Reviewing ASEAN Community Blueprints 2025 and Charting Directions for 2045 convened on 1 November 2024 in Hoi An, Viet Nam.
The Consultation intended to complement ASEAN’s ongoing efforts to conduct End-of-Term Reviews of the ASEAN Community Blueprints, the Master Plan on ASEAN Connectivity 2025 and the Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) Work Plan IV. In this regard, the Consultation focused the discussion on evaluating outcomes, identifying gaps and drawing lessons learned and best practices for the ASEAN Community-building process. The Consultation also served as an opportunity to hold in-depth discussions on the future direction of ASEAN, particularly on the realisation of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045. Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, presented a snapshot on the implementation of ASEAN Community Blueprint 2025.
