With the support of the Government of India, the ASEAN Secretariat organised the 1st Ad-Hoc SOMCA Working Group Meeting on the Feasibility in the Development of ASEAN Cultural Heritage List (ACHL) on 29 February 2024 at the ASEAN Secretariat, Jakarta, Indonesia. The Meeting was chaired by the representative of SOMCA Vice-Chair, Dr. Christina Yeo, Undersecretary, International Relations Division (Culture) from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (MOTAC) of Malaysia, and attended by representatives of SOMCA as well as CSOs nominated by ASEAN Member States. Following the 1st and 2nd Expert Panel Meetings that were held in August and December 2023, this meeting discussed the experts’ recommendations relating to objectives, scope, and approach in envisioning the ACHL.
