Today, ASEAN Secretariat’s Director of Sectoral Development Dr Kanchana Wanichkorn welcomed Republic of Korea’s (ROK) Vice Minister of Ministry of Science & ICT at the ASEAN Secretariat to discuss mutually-beneficial potential collaboration on science, technology, and innovation particularly on high performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI).

ROK aims to actively share its relevant technologies and policy expertise with the ASEAN region. It is expected that through the implementation of digital cooperation projects, utilisation of the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund, collaboration on activities ranging from HPC, data infrastructure establishment for AI education, competitions and the comprehensive utilisation of AI across different fields may contribute to the intra-regional peace and shared prosperity of ASEAN.
