Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn and Ambassador of the European Union (EU) to ASEAN Sujiro Seam today jointly launched the EU-ASEAN Sustainable Connectivity Package – Higher Education Programme (SCOPE-HE) Programme. Both Dr. Kao and Ambassador Sujiro also delivered opening remarks during the event, which featured a video presentation of the programme and included a panel discussion on “Fostering EU-ASEAN Collaboration: Empowering Future Leaders through Education and Industry Partnerships in Southeast Asia.” The discussion highlighted the importance of education-industry collaboration and the role of SCOPE-HE Programme in preparing students and fostering innovation in ASEAN. Funded by the EU with a commitment of 9.3 million Euros, the programme will run for four years and is implemented by Nuffic (the Dutch organisation for internationalisation in education) and  DAAD (the German Academic Exchange Service).
