Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn participated in the 15th Cambodia-Lao PDR-Myanmar-Viet Nam (CLMV) Economic Ministers Meeting held today in Semarang, Indonesia. The meeting was attended by the Secretary of State of Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce, Deputy Minister of Lao PDR’s Ministry of Industry and Commerce, and Minister of Industry and Trade from Viet Nam to discuss and advance regional economic integration and cooperation.

The 15th CLMV Economic Ministers’ Meeting serves as a platform to deliberate on key issues related to the implementation of the CLMV Action Plan and the Guiding Principles to support its implementation. The participation of the Secretary-General of ASEAN highlights the commitment of ASEAN to support the development and growth of the CLMV countries. By fostering economic cooperation and implementing strategic plans such as the CLMV Action Plan, the region aims to strengthen its competitiveness, attract investments, and create opportunities for sustainable economic development.
