Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today attended the 20th ASEAN Economic Ministers (AEM) – European Union (EU) Trade Commissioner Consultation, held in Vientiane, Lao PDR.
The Meeting exchanged views between ASEAN and the EU on regional and global economic developments, shared challenges, and strategies to address emerging challenges such as inflationary pressures, disruptions to global trade and climate change. Dr. Kao expressed appreciation for the EU’s continued support to ASEAN through various economic cooperation activities, including capacity building and technical assistance across ASEAN’s economic sectors.
