Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn attended the ASEAN-Japan Ministers on Agriculture and Forestry (AMAF) Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia today. ASEAN and Japan discussed the progress in the implementation of the ASEAN-Japan MIDORI Cooperation Plan (AJMCP) which was launched last year at the 22nd AMAF Plus Three Meeting of the 44th AMAF. The AJMCP seeks to contribute to ASEAN’s food security through the development and dissemination of technologies, development of human resources, and by supporting the implementation of ASEAN regional guidelines.
