At the 21st ASEAN-Japan Transport Ministers Meeting, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn reiterated the need to ensure initiatives under Luang Prabang Action Plan (2024-2033) support the implementation of Kuala Lumpur Transport Strategic Plan and align with ASEAN Economic Community Vision 2045. Dr Kao also encouraged both ASEAN and Japan to continue working closely to support the early conclusion of the ASEAN Japan Air Services Agreement, including more liberal and mutually beneficial traffic rights exchange.
