Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the 31st AEM-METI Consultation held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Meeting discussed the importance of the ASEAN-Japan co-creation strategy with participation of the private sector in strengthening ASEAN and Japan economic partnership towards a sustainable, inclusive and digital future through the implementation of the Future Design and Action Plan for Innovative and Sustainable ASEAN-Japan Economic Co-Creation 2023-2033. The Meeting also highlighted the strong commitment between ASEAN and Japan in strengthening their trade and investment ties through the implementation of the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Economic Partnership (AJCEP) and Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Agreements.
