Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today attended the ASEAN Economic Ministers-Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) Consultation.
The Meeting exchanged views on the recent global economic turbulence, particularly in light of rising protectionism and its implications for global and regional trade, investment flows, and ASEAN and Japan economic integration agenda. Ministers also discussed ways to further strengthen ASEAN-Japan economic cooperation through enhanced trade and investment ties, as well as the promotion of innovation and sustainability-led initiatives.
