Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today received a farewell call from Ambassador of Japan to ASEAN, H.E. Kiya Masahiko, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. During the call, Dr. Kao conveyed appreciation to Ambassador Kiya for his dedication and active efforts in promoting ASEAN-Japan relations, marked by the establishment of the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the successful commemoration of the 50 Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation in 2023. Both sides also took this opportunity to exchange views on ASEAN-Japan cooperation and ways to strengthen collaboration to further advance the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
