Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today called on the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Chairman of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (AMM), The Honourable Dato’ Seri Utama Haji Mohamad Bin Haji Hasan, in Putrajaya, Malaysia. Their discussions focused on advancing ASEAN Community-building efforts, in line with the Chair’s key priorities and deliverables. Among others, the discussion focused on the upcoming adoption of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and its Strategic Plans as well as the implementation of the Roadmap for Timor-Leste’s Full Membership in ASEAN. Dr. Kao also reaffirmed the ASEAN Secretariat’s commitment to supporting the Chair and all ASEAN Member States in the preparations for the upcoming 46th ASEAN Summit and the 58th AMM and Related Meetings, scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in May and July, respectively.
