Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, this morning celebrated the 58th ASEAN Day at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. In his remarks, SG Dr. Kao underscored the beginning of a new chapter in ASEAN Community-building marked by the successful adoption of ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future. He expressed optimism for the journey ahead, reaffirming that inclusivity and sustainability will remain at the heart of ASEAN’s regional integration efforts as the region navigates future challenges for a prosperous ASEAN Community. To mark the occasion, the Prime Minister of Malaysia and Chair of ASEAN 2025, The Honourable Anwar Ibrahim, delivered pre-recorded remarks commemorating the 58th ASEAN Anniversary.
