Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today delivered a lecture at the University of Adelaide, Australia, on “Deepening Relations as Comprehensive Strategic Partners: ASEAN and Australia,” highlighting opportunities in enhancing cooperation between the both sides. SG Dr. Kao shared some major developments in ASEAN, including the adoption of ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future in May 2025. Amidst the increasingly complex strategic landscape, SG Dr. Kao expressed optimism that ASEAN and Australia will continue upholding openness and resilience in realising our shared future of a peaceful, stable, and prosperous region.
