Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, delivered keynote remarks at the Special Session on Jeju ASEAN+α Roundtable: Acting Together for a Shared Prosperous Future at the Jeju Peace Forum, in Jeju. In his keynote remarks, SG Dr. Kao stressed that the session encapsulates what should be done, which is to act together because it is the only way towards a prosperous future. He also elaborated on how acting together particularly among the ASEAN Member States have enabled ASEAN to attain prosperity for the ASEAN peoples. Notwithstanding the immense diversity among its Member States, ASEAN has been able to move forward as a collective. Amidst the plethora of challenges, including security challenges, ASEAN Member States acting together, has enabled ASEAN to overcome these challenges successfully.
