Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today delivered pre-recorded opening remarks at the 9th Science and Technology in Society (STS) Forum ASEAN-Japan Conference, held in Jakarta, Indonesia. He highlighted the vital role of science, technology, and innovation (STI) in building the region’s resilient and inclusive future. He also cited key ASEAN-Japan initiatives such as the USD 100 million NEXUS programme, the Blue Innovation Challenge, and Startup ASEAN, as powerful platforms driving sustainable growth and regional impact.
