At the 10th Beijing Xiangshan Forum, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn delivered remarks at the First Plenary Session on “Global Security Cooperation.”

Dr Kao likened the role played by both major powers as well as other regional states in promoting security cooperation to concentric circles, with ASEAN at the core and regional mechanisms centered on ASEAN as the outer circles of cooperation.

Dr Kao highlighted ASEAN’s contributions to a stable and peaceful regional architecture through the region’s ability to address both traditional and non-traditional security challenges.
