Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today delivered remarks at the 24th General Assembly of the Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries (VECONAC), held in Jakarta. Dr. Kao underscored the enduring contributions of veterans to regional peace and reaffirmed ASEAN’s commitment to work closely with VECONAC as an Entity associated with ASEAN. He further encouraged VECONAC to engage with veterans’ organisations in all ASEAN Member States and to continue leveraging its platform to support ASEAN’s vision for an inclusive, resilient, peaceful and secure future.
