Earlier today, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn delivered remarks at the Opening Ceremony of the ASEAN Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue Conference 2023, held at the Ritz-Carlton Mega Kuningan in Jakarta, Indonesia. The President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo delivered the Opening Remarks during the ceremony. This event was organised by the Nahdlatul Ulama of Indonesia and supported by the Government of Indonesia, and was attended by religious and cultural leaders from ASEAN Member States and other countries in the region, government officials, members of academia and representatives from civil society. The theme of the Dialogue Conference is ‘ASEAN Shared Civilizational Values: Building an Epicentrum of Harmony to Foster Peace, Security, and Economic Prosperity.’
