Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, delivered remarks at the Meeting between the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA), Ambassadors of ERIA Member States, and Dialogue Partners, held at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta.
In his remarks, Dr. Kao reaffirmed that the strength and depth of partnerships among ASEAN, ERIA Member States, and Dialogue Partners remain essential to realising the ASEAN Community Vision 2045. He called for sustained and deepened collaboration across areas of shared priority, including economic resilience, digital transformation, and sustainable development, whilst underscoring that rigorous strategic research and forward-looking policy analysis are fundamental to securing ASEAN’s long-term growth, competitiveness, and relevance in a rapidly evolving world.
