Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn this morning attended the Opening Session of the ASEAN Future Forum, which is initiated and hosted by Viet Nam, with the theme of “Toward fast and sustainable growth of a people-centered ASEAN Community.” In his remarks, Dr. Kao highlighted the role of ASEAN Future Forum as a platform for ASEAN and its partners to share new ideas and policy recommendations. He stressed the timeliness of convening such a Forum for thinking through what lies ahead, particularly at this juncture as ASEAN is working on an ASEAN Community Vision 2045 and formulating its Strategic Plans.
