Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on 13 February 2026, joined a high-level panel in a roundtable discussion at the 62nd Munich Security Conference (MSC) in Munich, Germany. With the theme All Hands on Deck: Upholding Maritime Security in the Indo-Pacific, SG Dr. Kao emphasised ASEAN’s role in fostering maritime security cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region, including through collaborative activities under the ambit of ASEAN-led multilateral mechanisms and the implementation of the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) with its external partners.
