Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, delivered a special lecture on the theme of “ASEAN’s Strategic Role in Maintaining Peace and Advancing Prosperity in the Region” at Hiroshima University. In his lecture, Dr. Kao underscored the nexus between peace and prosperity as well as how ASEAN, by ensuring peace in the region, has enabled the ASEAN peoples to enjoy prosperity. Following the lecture, SG Dr. Kao was conferred with the title of “Specially Invited Professor” by Hiroshima University.
