Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today delivered the keynote address at the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP) Seminar Series on Marine Cooperation: Marine Protection and Preservation, in Jakarta, Indonesia. Co-hosted by Singapore, Australia, India, and Japan, the Seminar was attended by East Asia Summit (EAS) participating countries. Dr. Kao underscored that the commitment to marine protection and preservation reflects the collective effort to ensure healthy oceans, secure livelihoods, and long-term prosperity. Along this line, Dr. Kao highlighted the need to take further steps in realising this commitment through stronger cooperation, coordinated policies, and concrete actions that protect and preserve the oceans.
