Secretary-General of ASEAN delivers video message at the ARMAC-AKCF Wrap-Up Workshop on the “Enhance Victim Assistance Programme in the ASEAN Member States”

Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today delivered a pre-recorded video message at the Wrap-Up Workshop of the “Enhance Victim Assistance Programme in the ASEAN Member States”. This initiative is one of the ASEAN Regional Mine Center (ARMAC)’s projects, supported by the Government of the Republic of Korea through the ASEAN-Korea Cooperation Fund (AKCF).

 

In his video remarks, Secretary-General Dr. Kao commended the project’s achievements in strengthening regional cooperation in humanitarian mine action and specifically, enhancing victim assistance initiatives across mine-affected ASEAN Member States. Commenced in 2021, the Project has delivered impactful results, notably the establishment of a victim assistance network, as well as various training and knowledge products. Moving forward, Secretary-General Dr. Kao encouraged continued collaboration between ARMAC and external partners towards a mine-free ASEAN
