While in Cambodia attending the Digital Government Forum, Secretary-General of ASEAN H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn today met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice of Cambodia H.E. Koeut Rith. They discussed the importance of legal cooperation, combating transnational crimes, and strengthening the rule of law and criminal justice in ASEAN. Dr. Kao thanked Cambodia for its active participation and contribution to the work and efforts carried out by the ASEAN Law Ministers Meeting (“ALAWMM”) and the ASEAN Ministers/Attorneys General Meeting of the Central Authorities on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters (“AMAG-MLAT”) in pursuing law and legal cooperation and supporting the rules-based ASEAN Community.
