Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn today met with Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism of Lao PDR and Chair of the 27th Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers Suanesavanh Vignaket, in Vientiane, Lao PDR. During the meeting, Dr. Kao and Minister Suanesavanh exchanged views on the development of ASEAN’s tourism sector as well as priorities for the implementation of the Action Roadmap for Sustainable Tourism Development. Dr. Kao also reiterated the ASEAN Secretariat’s support for Lao PDR’s leadership in developing the ASEAN Ecotourism Standard in 2024.
