Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn met with representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) today. During the discussion, SG Dr Kao extended his appreciation to the CII for their contributions to further strengthening economic ties between the business communities in ASEAN and India.

They also explored potential collaboration between both sides. In view of the ongoing review of ASEAN India Trade in Goods Agreement (AITIGA), SG Dr Kao also invited CII to provide inputs and feedback throughout the review process to ensure that the AITIGA is user-friendly, simple, and trade-enabling for businesses in order to increase ASEAN-India trade.
