Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, had a lunch roundtable discussion hosted by Deputy Secretary Michelle Chan, South and Southeast Asia Group and Australia’s ASEAN, EAS and ARF Senior Official, in Canberra today. Both sides exchanged views on various aspects of ASEAN-Australia cooperation, including Australia’s support to ASEAN Community building and integration, and ways to further advance ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. They also exchanged views on the role of ASEAN and Australia in maintaining peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
