Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn met with Minister for Foreign Affairs and Cooperation of Timor-Leste Bendito dos Santos Freitas, in Dili, today. They discussed Timor-Leste’s priorities, particularly in the ASEAN Political-Security Community pillar, emphasizing on its efforts towards becoming a full member of ASEAN. Furthermore, SG Dr Kao took the opportunity to reaffirm the ASEAN Secretariat’s full support for Timor-Leste’s journey ahead. The meeting was followed by a joint press conference.
